Explore the Blue Ridge and the many Presidential Homes in Charlottesville!

Been to Charlottesville in Virginia? This is a wonderful place to visit in this historic state of the country. Virginia is known as the Old Dominion as well as the Mother of Presidents, the latter title being given to it as several famous politicians and presidents have emerged from this state.

Not only is the place famous on the different battlefields that witnessed different battles here, but also for the scenic beauty of the rolling hills that dot the countryside. The last two decades have seen the area also give rise to a blooming wine industry for a fine quality of wine that is found here. Though this region has had wine being produced here since the early part of the 17th century, especially in the Jamestown colony, Virginia has seen a rise in wine production in recent times, with about 64 wineries that can now be found in the area.

Charlottesville has a bohemian vibe that you will love when you come here. Whether it is historic landmarks or wineries to discover, this city is conveniently located in the center of it all. The place has a lively suburban life and communities that showcase a blend of different ethnicities.

Visit Shenandoah National Park here, which is a protected area covering the sweeping vistas of the Blue Ridges. The Blue Ridge Park covers thousands of acres of land that are forest areas, hiking trails and have scenic waterfalls to discover.

You will also find the Skyline Drive here that runs through the National Park and is known for the scenic roadside views and hiking trails. This is a road that spans 105 miles and spans the Blue Ridge Mountains as well.

You can also visit the plantation home of Thomas Jefferson here that is famed landmark. It was a stately mansion of President Jefferson, which was constructed in 1769. There are slave plantations in the grounds as well as a café and a museum to see here.

Ash Lawn-Highland is a place that had been the home of the fifth president of the country, from 1799 to 1823. There are guided tours to take around the estate and gardens to explore where events are held from time to time.

Discover The Bozeman Trail And More At Bozeman Montana

Bozeman in Montana, located in Big Sky country is a unique place for adventure and culture. If you love the outdoors and the arts, you will fall in love with this town. This town is built around the Montana State University and the vibes of the school and college environment makes it cultural, casual and young. There are several cultural events held here through the year, from performances like Shakespeare in the Parks to musical symphony concerts.  Bozeman is a great place to visit if you enjoy culture and the arts.

The town is part of Gallatin County. Located in the southwest part of the state, it is fourth largest in the state and has a metropolitan area that comprises of all the business and commercial activities.

History of the place dates back to 1864 when the town was formed and named after John M Bozeman, the founder of the Bozeman Trail. The town was incorporated officially in 1883 when a city council was formed.

When you are here and strolling the streets of the town, Bridger Bowl Ski Area is a must visit. During the winter months the ski resort here is fully booked so reserve in advance. There are skiing and snowboarding facilities to be found here that are popular with the winter tourists.

Visit Museum of the Rockies that has a well known collection showcasing dinosaur fossils. There are several native history and regional history exhibits here as well.

Once you have visited the above places you can move on to checking out the Bozeman Trail. It is an overland route that connects the Oregon Trail to the gold rush region of the state. This is an important period of discovery; going by the trail will help you discover many facts about that period and the region.

Gallatin is another history museum here that has photo archives and regional artifacts to explore.

If you have time and energy to discover more, check out the local eateries here and the college vibes of the town. This however, changes as the town loses much of its population during the holiday seasons while academic sessions see students and professors thronging the place.

Attractions to Experience in Paris

Paris is the capital city of France; it is also the most populous. The city is also known as a center of science, arts, fashion, finance and commerce in Europe. This city has the third highest GDP in the world as well as the largest GDP of the European Union. The administrative limits of the city lie on the island that lies on the arc of the river Seine. The city has two international airports and has a Paris metro that serves about 5.3 million passengers on a daily basis, making it the second busiest metro system, second to the Moscow Metro. It also has one of the busiest railway stations, the Gare du Nord.

When you visit this fashion and cultural capital city, you might feel overwhelmed with the number of places that are there worth seeing. You will want to make a visit to the Eiffel tower to be first on your list. This 19th century tower is known to be 324 meters in height. Made by Gustave Eiffel, it is made of wrought iron with elevators and steps that can take you to observation decks on different levels of the tower.

The Louvre is the next landmark art museum you must add to your places to visit in this city. This art museum is known to have a vast collection of art works that range from Mona Lisa of Da Vinci of Roman sculptures of varied significance.

Notre Dame de Paris is the next place that you should have on your itinerary here. It is an iconic landmark that is a Gothic church; it is a 13th century cathedral that has gargoyles, flying buttresses and other specimens to check out.

Arc De Triumphe is a national monument as well as a triumphal arc to discover here. This iconic structure was built to commemorate victories of Napoleon and has an observation deck.

Things to do & experience in Orlando, Florida

Among the different places to visit in the US, Orlando is a much favored destination. Being part of the state of Florida, this place has a warm and balmy weather which makes it a favored tourist destination through the year. This place is a county seat of Orange County. Located in central Florida, the Orlando metropolitan area is a sprawling region. It is considered the 73rd largest city of the country and one of the largest inland cities in the state. With its rich natural landscapes, bay areas and tourist attractions, there is little wonder that it is nicknamed The City Beautiful. It is also called the Theme Park Capital of the world for the staggering number of world famous theme parks and entertainment venues located here.

Among the numerous attractions that you can see here, foremost would be the Walt Disney World, this being the largest theme park and entertainment destination here, many tourists come here to spend their dream Disney themed vacations here. It is located in the southwest part of downtown Orlando. This place was opened by Walt Disney Company in 1971 and is one of the most sought after vacation destinations for adults and kids alike by the Bay Lake region.

You will also find Universal Orlando resort here, which was started in 1999. Run by the Universal studios, people get their fill of their favorite movie characters and movie inspired sets, entertaining rides and other recreations besides the resort like destination it acts for the visitors.

University of Central Florida is also located here. The university campus is one of the largest in the state and is a beautiful campus to explore as well.

Historic downtown areas of the city are worth visiting such as Orange Avenue, Church Street and Garland Avenue, which are lined with boulevards and eateries as well as retail destinations.

The historic district around Lake Eola is also a popular area to visit. Thornton Park that is located here has some of the old homes of the region.

The shopping destinations that are favored by tourists here are the Florida Mall, The Mall at Millennia, Orlando Fashion Square, which is known to have several popular places for wining and dining options.

Cape Town, the southern city of the African continet

Cape Town might not be the largest city of South Africa but it certainly receives the most amounts of tourists than any other city in the country. Cape Town sits in the most southern part of the continent of Africa and provides both scenic beauty and a number of tourist attractions and activities.

A trip to South Africa is incomplete without visiting Cape Town. In fact, it’s the first place you should add to your schedule when you head to the country. Cape Town, like most of the country, isn’t the safest of places so you need to do your research about which places you should keep away from and what times you should tour the city.

Bear in mind, South Africa has summers in the months of November to January and winters from May to August. It can get pretty hot in the day during the summer season and moderately cold in the winters.

Things to See in Cape Town

Bo-Kaap is the place to go if you’re a sucker for pretty Instagram pictures, film shoots or just to quench your aesthetic thirst. This little neighborhood has geometrical, colorful houses lining the streets. The buildings and mosques are all vibrant and a perfect place to visit for some eye candy.

Cape Town is also known for its historical landmarks. One of the more popular ones is the Castle of Good Hope, the oldest castle of the city. Now it plays hosts to wineries, restaurants and an educational tour.

Some other places to check out in the city are the Rhodes Memorial, the South African Parliament and the Two Oceans Aquarium.

Activities in Cape Town

A number of museums offer an insight into the culture and history of South Africa. The Bo-Kaap Museum, the District Six Museum, South African National Gallery, the Slave lodge and the Galleria Gibello are some prominent names.

Tourists also enjoy taking a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain and this particular activity is probably the most popular one in the city. The Table Mountain overlooks the scenic landscape of the city. You could also choose to hike up to the Table Mountain which is another activity tourists enjoy.

Wine tasting, shark cage diving, surfing and deep sea fishing are other popular activities that you can do in Cape Town.  My good friend Tom, from Paramus, New Jersey, owns  had gone on a shark dive in those giant cages with some friends and said he saw an 18′ great white shark, the scariest, most adrenaline-pumping experience he ever had.  He said it was amazing to see how large they can be up close and said if you ever get to Cape Town, they have some of the biggest great whites anywhere in the world!

France is undoubtedly one of the biggest tourist destinations of the world as it attracts nearly a hundred million tourists every year. Apart from the historic attractions and rich culture, the region is also known for its scenic beauty of the Alps. Visitors from all over the world come here to enjoy the food and drinks of the region.
